Haven and Max tied the knot last October at The Sterling Hotel in Sacramento by Wedgewood Weddings. The vibe of the hotel screams vintage and is the perfect backdrop for photos. Their wedding was just gorgeous with an elegant Halloween theme, so the hotel fit perfectly! Guests had a dress code of all black, and I think I'm liking this dress code for guests idea! Everyone looks the same, and the photos look sharp, especially when guests wear all black. The day began with getting ready, Haven and Max's first look, indoor ceremony, and then their reception. Catering was provided by the venue and their adorable cake was from Cake Castle Bakery. LOTS of dancing at their reception, you can tell their guests had a great time. Wedding Tip, DANCE! If you plan to have "open dancing" with a DJ at your reception, make sure you get out there and DANCE! I have seen SO MANY weddings where the guests are dancing and the bride and groom are not. Now, I'm not saying you have to dance the entire time, but if the dance floor is full, get out there so I can capture the two of you dancing with your guests. With my documenting approach, it is important to get those moments, like dancing, to tell the story of your day! Don't worry, if I don't see you on the dance floor, I'll remind you to get out there and shake your booty for some shots!
